Arkansas High beat Arkadelphia 3-0 in a non district softball game Thursday at Ladyback Field. The Ladybacks, 4-1 on the season, started off slow with only two hits going into the second inning. The bats came to life in the bottom of the third when Dajenee Manley singled and later scored on a passed ball. Kaitlyn Eaves drove in two runs on a double to left field.

Slower pitching forced Arkansas High's offense to adjust their approach at the plate.

"Our offense struggles with pitching that is a lot slower than we are used to and we have to learn to make adjustments to be successful in this conference." Arkansas High Head Coach Elizabeth Tankersley said after the game.

Arkansas High also had hits from Destiny Turner, Alexus Paxton, Jasmine Allen, and Lakyn Medford. Eaves, the Ladybacks ace pitcher, struck out 12 Arkadelphia hitters. The Lady Badgers lone hit came off the bat of Jalise Hayes.

The Ladybacks will hit the road next Tuesday for a double header against Pine Bluff. Click here for the Arkansas High Ladyback's 2014 Softball Schedule.
