Back to Square One Concerning Texas Side City Manager Search

After last week's meet and greet concerning the Texarkana, Texas City Manager Candidates, the council decided to start over from scratch.It was an unexpected turn of events as the city council decided to re-open the process after narrowing the field of candidates to two. Mayor Bob Bruggeman says they will use the same consulting firm and citizens committee to once again take applications and interview potential city manager candidates.

Current City Manager Dr. Larry Sullivan is leaving the position on August 1st. The Mayor says they will utilize someone from within the city government to take over on an interim  basis until a permanent replacement is chosen. No word on a timetable for completion of the process.
