His most famous cinematic line was "Show me the money!" in 1996's 'Jerry Maguire,' but the wife of actor Cuba Gooding, Jr., who won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar for his work as an NFL'er in the film, is showing him the door. The couple has separated after two decades of marriage.

The actor, 46, and Sara Kapfer were married for 20 years. That is an eternity, not only by Hollywood standards, but by today's as well, since half of marriages end in divorce. The couple seemed to beat the statistical odds with the length of their union.

TMZ reports that Kapfer filed papers in L.A. County Superior Court earlier this week, listing the ever-popular "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split. Hmm. We wonder if they just grew apart or if some other news will come to light in the coming weeks. You just never know in Hollywood when it comes to celeb splits.

The couple married in 1994. They were high school sweethearts and they went on to have three children together.

According to the paperwork that she filed, Kapfer is requesting joint legal and physical custody with child support to be determined at a later date. Two of their children are minors.

This is a surprising split since they were married for so long and because they tended to live off the Hollywood grid. We wish both the best moving forward.
