David Haak to Run for Mayor

Former State Representative David Haak has scheduled a news conference to announce his candidacy for Mayor of Texarkana, Arkansas.Haak will officially announce his candidacy at a news conference next Monday July 21 at 10:00 a.m. at Arkansas City Hall.

The former state representative served for six years in the Arkansas State House. He also spent time on the Arkansas Economic Commission, the Texarkana Arkansas Planning and Zoning Commission and on the Texarkana Chamber of Commerce.

Haak is a life long resident of Texarkana and the owner of First Tape and Label. Haak will be opposing current Mayor Wayne Smith this fall.
