This is a rare occurrence for Texarkana and one that I do not want to miss. On Saturday, Oct. 29, there will be approximately 70 people that will suddenly start dancing to  Michael Jackson's "Thriller." They will all be dressed like zombies. Many hours have been poured into preparing for this flash mob dance.

"It started out with 12 to 15 people dancing in the street, practicing for the flash mob dance then people would see ask if they could join in," said Sheila Lamon, a parent and grandmother to dance participants. "Before we knew it, the mob grew to 60 or 70 people. Everyone will be dressed and made up like zombies. They worked their butts off so ya'll come down and watch."

The exact time of the flash dance is not being released but Lamon said sometime after 4PM during the Fall Festival in downtown Texarkana. Participants ages range from 8 years old to people in their fifties. "The participants have been practicing their performance for six to eight weeks," said Lamon.
