In an unfortunately prophetic turn of events, Iggy Azalea's Great Escape tour has slipped through her fingers.

The rapper, whose upcoming concert series was slated to kick off on September 18 in San Francisco, alerted fans in an email that each upcoming show has been canceled, according to Just Jared.

"The Iggy Azalea Great Escape Tour scheduled for this fall has been canceled and refunds are available at point of purchase," the statement read. "There will be a new tour planned around Iggy's new record to be released in 2016 and we apologize for any inconvenience."

In March, Iggy announced the shows had been postponed, and told 97.1 AMP Radio that her commitment to taking lead on the tour's creative meant delays were inevitable.

"It is bumped back because I am a psychopath,” she said. “It’s my first arena tour and it’s a big undertaking and I’m doing a lot of the creative direction, which I do for everything. It’s tough when it’s your first time working on an arena situation.”

"I really considered what [I wanted to do]— keep and honor the tickets and these dates for the fans but not have the show that I envisioned or kind of promised them…or do I want to move it and have the absolute best show, the show that I envisioned," she added. "Obviously I’ve chosen to move it."

Sadly, fate had more permanent plans...
