Hilary Duff and former NHL husband Mike Comrie announced their split at the top of the year, which certainly sent her ex Aaron Carter on the comeback trail. However, Duff and Comrie have remained friendly since their big reveal, co-parenting their son Luca, 2. However, it seems the uncoupled duo may very well be re-coupling, according to a report.

RadarOnline is suggesting that Duff and Comrie went to the Bahamas in February to discuss the dissolution of the marriage, the splitting of assets and to map out a custody arrangement regarding their son.

Wait, so they needed to go to the Bahamas to do all that? That couldn't have been done in, say, the confines of the offices of their lawyers in L.A.? Or at home?

If this story is to be believed, the island locale supposedly stoked the fires of romance and caused them to rekindle their love.

The Radar insider said, "Hilary and Mike hooked up when they were in the Bahamas. Once they were together with their son Luca in the Caribbean, it got emotional and real. Mike broke down and begged Hilary for a second chance."

While Duff remained firm at first, she has since changed her mind, according to the insider. "They’ve been meeting for hookups ever since, and Hilary’s softened and the two are moving forward to see if they can work it out," the source revealed.

Duff is moving full steam ahead with her musical career, having signed a new record deal but not telling us which label she has teamed up with. It's said that she wants Comrie to be a stay-at-home-dad while she reboots her music career and returns to the small screen with her new TV show.

That might be a smart move – full-time babysitter!

However, until we hear "We're back together!!!" from Duff's mouth (or Twitter feed), we'll assume this is a good piece of gossip.
