Could you be quiet during a four course meal? I asked myself this question. Many would tell you that I love talking so much that I couldn't last a minute. Although that is probably true, I would like to give it a try.

Texarkana currently doesn't have a restaurant like this but "It's just an opportunity to enjoy food in a way you might not have otherwise" says Nicholas Nauman, head chef of Eat.

Mr. Nauman decided to try the silent dining experience because of a trip to India where monks have breakfast without speaking.

I wonder, when you concentrate on the texture of the food as well as smell and presentation, do you enjoy your meal more? Until I can travel to Greenpoint, Brooklyn to dine at Eat Restaurant, I will try the silent dining experience in my own home during dinner tonight then let you know.
