You can participate in two ways:

Bring a bag of food to the Drive Kick-off at 2211 N. Robison Road on Tuesday May 10 or simply place some non-perishable food items in the bag on Saturday, May 14, and postal carriers will pick it up.

Stamp Out Hunger Day is the largest single day food drive in the nation and Texarkana always does its part.

This year's food drive will directly benefit the following agencies:

  • Harvest Texarkana Regional Food Bank
  • Salvation Army
  • Texarkana Friendship Center
  • Randy Sams Center
  • Domestic Violence Prevention

Please donate items like canned meats, fish, soup, vegetables, bottle juice, pasta, cereal and rice that do not require refrigeration. Please DO NOT include items that have expired or are in glass containers.

Thanks to Camille Wrinkle from Harvest Food Bank and Letter Carrier John Hill for coming in this morning and being on the air with us. And thanks to Molly Riley and Mark Bledsoe for leading the charge for the United Way in this effort.
