Two suspects allegedly jumped out of a moving vehicle while being pursued by Texas-side police yesterday. But they were still captured and arrested.

The Texarkana, Texas Police Department arrested two Texarkana men following a brief vehicle pursuit Tuesday afternoon. One of the men had an outstanding felony warrant.
At 3:15PM yesterday, an officer was flagged down by a man in the 200 block of North Circle who reported that he had just been assaulted. He told the officer that the suspect had just jumped into a vehicle sitting in front of the residence. The officer attempted to make contact with the occupants of the vehicle, but the driver reportedly sped away.
After a brief pursuit, both men jumped out of the moving vehicle in the 2300 block of Summerhill Road and allegedly fled on foot. The unoccupied vehicle then continued rolling until it struck a tree on the side of the roadway.
The driver, Lamarris Weaver, 35, of Texarkana Texas, was arrested without incident after a short foot chase.
Officers continued to search for the second man until he was located nearby in the 100 block of Jerome where Roy Robinson, 33, of Texarkana, Ark., was arrested.
Both men were transported to the Bi-State Jail. Weaver was charged with Evading Detention, No Driver’s License, and Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility.  Robinson was charged with Evading Detention and the Parole Violation warrant.
