There will inevitably be a twinge of sadness next season on ABC, that Agent Carter no longer remains part of the lineup, even as Hayley Atwell gets higher billing on a new series. Never will that divide be clearer, however, than the erstwhile Peggy snorting coke and embracing her wild side with an American accent in the first trailer for ABC legal drama Conviction.

A few weeks back, Castle fans were agape at the thought of a ninth season without series star Stana Katic, as well the circus and rumors and cast reactions that flew since. Nathan Fillion hadn’t signed for Season 9 at the time, but has now reportedly been secured, while ABC is set to make a decision on the series before the weekend.

The moment Agent Carter star Hayley Atwell signed for a new ABC pilot, fans of Peggy’s post-Cap adventures began to worry, even as Marvel and ABC assured she could juggle both series. Ahead of pilot pickups, however, it’s starting to look like Agent Carter may be no more, while fellow Agents series Most Wanted has again lost some of its luster.

Seeing as the Emmy awards rotate broadcast networks from year to year, it seemed likely that Jimmy Kimmel might suit up to host the awards once the wheel landed on ABC. Good guess, everyone! The network has officially confirmed that the Jimmy Kimmel Live! host will don his tux later this year.

As debuted after Agent Carter Season 2 finale “Hollywood Ending,” the latest look at Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Season 3 return shows plenty more Inhuman action, including Matthew Willig’s Lash (using previous footage, though his return is certainly still a possibility). We also see more of the Secret Warriors in action, as well as a new threat aligned with Ward’s new Marvel identity.

Tonight will see Marvel’s Agent Carter ending her second season with yet another note of uncertainty, given ominous ratings and another ABC series for star Hayley Atwell. And while Season 3 remains a question, Atwell assures that ABC would find space for her to do both series.

Agent Carter’s second season will crash land this coming Tuesday, just one week out from the Secret Warrior-infused Season 3 return of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. We’ve already seen a few tidbits, but the gates are officially open, as Coulson meets President Ellis and the team chases Inhumans in 2016 premiere photos for “Bouncing Back.”

Six years in, there’s only so much variation The Walking Dead can do with its titular threat beyond additional decay. And since Daryl Dixon clearly isn’t thrilled with change, Jimmy Kimmel saw only one option: Put The Walking Dead on hoverboards, of course!

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. has been bursting at the seams for its Season 3 return “Bouncing Back,” while poor Zombie Ward is just bursting with parasites. Now, a new synopsis for the 2016 return has the team uncertain what to make of their new foe, while Clark Gregg discusses the possibility of tying into Captain America: Civil War.

However brightly Agent Carter shines in Season 2, there’s no getting around the diminished ratings from Peggy’s first year, and a recent decision to double-up the remaining episodes on Tuesday. Now, Hayley Atwell herself might be moving on to a different ABC series with a new pilot order, so could Agent Carter Season 3 end up lost to time?

Social media success of NBC’s live musicals (not to mention the actual success of The Wiz) already goaded FOX into Grease and Rocky Horror remakes, and now ABC has its own baby no one’s putting in a corner. Dirty Dancing will get the three-hour musical treatment, starring Scream Queens alum Abigail Breslin to boot.
