Although Connecticut may seem far removed from Texarkana, the world at large is mourning the deaths of 27 individuals, including 18 children, after 24-year-old shooter Ryan Lanza entered Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn. this morning and changed this quiet bedroom community forever.
