Week #2 of the new year and here we are seeing a significant bounce upward in the number of overall arrests. The total number arrested was 68 last week, 23 of which by Bowie County Deputies. An additional 45 were brought in by other law enforcement agencies and turned over to Bowie County.

We aren't talking about "city jails" like the ones in Houston or Dallas even though those can be pretty bad in their own right.
