C-C-C-COLD! OK, weather-wise last Saturday could have been better. It was 26 degrees and cloudy when we arrived at the Texarkana Gun Club for the very first Steel Challenge match, and actually got colder before the morning was over if you can believe that. Well I shot like crap! Two major factors contributed to this, heat exhaustion and, it's too dang hot for practice. (see Shooters Log from June titled "Too Danged Hot for Practice").  Even though I'm very disappointed in my performance, or lack thereof, I still had a great time as always shooting with my friends and making new ones.

On Sunday, June 19th (yes, Father's Day) I along with two of my shooting buddies, Dean and Brad, motored down to Longview to shoot in the East Texas Pistol and Rifle Club's "Steel Challenge" match.
