The electric, neon typography of the Thor: Ragnarok trailers was just one of many things that got us hyped about the Taika Waititi film – Cate Blanchett’s Hela being 99 percent of those other ‘many things.’ Marvel took that psychedelic aesthetic even further with the new poster that dropped at Comic-Con last month, glowing with phosphorescent color. Hopefully you’re not tired of that look just yet because Empire magazine debuted two new Thor: Ragnarok covers full of colorful neon.

Hayley Atwell Wants More Peggy Carter in the MCU
One of the underrated aspects of Marvel’s cinematic universe is its overabundance of good characters. Take Hayley Atwell’s Agent Carter, for example. Most other major movie franchises would jump at the opportunity to have a character as beloved as Peggy Carter; for Marvel, fairly or unfairly, she’s a character they can afford to leave behind. That is, until it was announced that Captain Marvel would take place sometime in the 1990s, opening the door for Atwell’s Carter to appear once more in the MCU. Would she be interested in coming back to play the character? You’d better believe it.

Of the two ensemble films Jeremy Renner is currently shooting, you’d think the one that isn’t an action-packed superhero flick wouldn’t result in a couple of broken bones — but that’s exactly what happened to the Marvel star on the set of the upcoming comedy movie Tag, which centers on a group of friends that have been participating in an intense 30-year version of the titular game. Seems like something along the lines of Avengers: Infinity War would involve a greater risk of physical injury. You would think that, and you would be wrong.

‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’s Post-Credits Scenes Explained
Okay so you have now seen Spider-Man: Homecoming. You have witnessed Peter Parker’s triumphant return to the Marvel Universe, and his return to being a teenager instead of a hunky, moody 30-year-old who is still inexplicably in high school. And you have the post-credits scenes. (Fun fact: Everyone at Marvel Studios calls them “tags.”) So what do they mean for the future of Spidey and the MCU?

Sony knows that it’s summertime and in the summer traffic can be bad. So bad, even, that you might be running late to the movie theater and miss the first few minutes of Spider-Man: Homecoming this weekend. I personally have a rule that if I miss more than the first few minutes of a movie, I skip the whole thing for another showing. So in case you’re worried about missing the beginning of Homecoming because some jerk decided to hit the emergency break on the subway, have no fear. Sony just released the first four minutes of their new Spidey outing.

Marvel and Sony have already set a 2019 release date for the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, which hits theaters in just a few weeks. But as you probably suspected, that momentous collaboration won’t end with two films, as Tom Holland himself has confirmed Marvel’s — totally not shocking at all — plans for a complete Spidey trilogy. It may be the least surprising news you read all day, but it’s still comforting to know that Spider-Man is back in good hands (for at least three films and a few MCU appearances, anyway).

Even as Marvel continues to crank out massively scaled spectacles, they’re always keeping one eye on the future. Ant-Man sequel Ant-Man and the Wasp won’t shrink down and infiltrate theaters until July 6, 2018, but the wheels of pre-production have begun turning on the sequel audiences apparently asked for.
