Monday, February 28, 2022, at Texarkana College’s February board meeting, Trustees received a presentation from TC’s Dean of Students, Robert Jones, all about the campus celebration of Black History Month. The theme for the month was “Reflect, Connect, and Thrive.”

Texarkana College trustees met Monday afternoon to approve an agreement with TCI Texarkana, Inc., for tax abatement on the construction of a new state-of-the-art cold rolling mill to produce common alloy.

Temple Foundation has awarded $125,000 to Texarkana College for COVID-19 Emergency Student Aid Grant Funds to assist eligible enrolled TC students with costs of tuition, fees, course materials and related charges not paid through federal, state, or other institutional financial aid resources. At Monday’s board meeting the Texarkana College Trustees approved the institution’s two-year strategic plan including its mission, core values and beliefs, top priorities, and goals. The approval of the plan solidifies measurable goals for the College that will strengthen the base of skilled and prepared employees available for the regional workforce.

The Texarkana Area Veteran's Council is searching for chili teams now for their 21st annual cook-off coming up on Friday, February 14 at  Texarkana College.
