Texarkana Man Arrested on Charges in Connection with Deadly Incident

The Texarkana Texas Police Department has arrested 19 year old Michael Troy Gray of Texarkana s afternoon for Aggravated Robbery.

Authorities say Gray was identified as a person of interest in the investigation of the shooting death of Drake Griffith on Monday night.  He turned himself in upon learning that detectives were looking for him.  After interviewing Gray, detectives determined that probable cause existed to arrest him for Aggravated Robbery. He is currently being held in the Bi-State Jail.

Officers were dispatched to a shooting at a residence in the 3500 block of Magnolia Street shortly before midnight Monday night. When they arrived, they found 18 year old Drake Griffith deceased on the floor on one of the bedrooms with several gunshot wounds.Griffith was shot by a resident of the home, in what authorities allege was a botched robbery attempt related to drugs.
