Four contestants were eliminated, a voting mix-up and Adam Levine taking until the very last second to eliminate a contestant were all a part of the last segment of the Live Playoffs on ‘The Voice’ last night.

At the top of ‘The Voice,’ we had to take care of some serious business. Lights were dimmed as they brought out a representative from Telescope, who handles the vote counting process for numerous reality competition shows. The rep had to explain the inconsistencies in this week’s texting and online voting. They simply handled the snafu by taking away those votes and only applied the call-in votes.

After that was taken care of, Rod Stewart reminded us that he may be old but he's still kicking it as he performed, ‘Finest Woman I’ve Ever Seen’ and ‘Forever Young’ with Garrett Gardner, Josiah Hawley and Karina Iglesias. Team Shakira and Team Blake performed ‘Hall of Fame’ by the Script.

Then it was time for elimination. Usher chose Cathia, who clearly didn’t stand a chance after he gave her a Whitney Houston song to sing. And Blake let go of Justin Rivers.

CeeLo Green came back to his old stomping grounds and performed with former finalist Juliet Simms. Team Adam and Usher had a group performance of ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ by Swedish House Mafia.

Shakira eliminated Karina Iglesias because Garrett Gardner has more potential to grow during this season. Lastly, Adam Levine took until the credits were scrolling uber fast to pick who he wanted to send packing. He eventually chose Caroline Glaser.
