Ticket Quotas in Texas? Maybe, Maybe Not

Dallas news station WFAA - TV has been doing a great job on investigating a 30-mile stretch of Interstate 45 south of Dallas in what they are now calling the Dirty 30.

The cities of Hearne, Lott and Calvert are now begin referred to as the "Texas Triangle" by the news outlet due to what they believe are excessive ticket writing. According to the report, the State of Texas has an auditing capability of municipalities to make sure they only derive a certain percentage of their revenue through traffic tickets. And apparently these three cities have never been audited.
