This year has been a record year for disasters in Texas. Flooding and tornadoes have dominated our state leaving many survivors homeless and hurt. Your local Salvation Army participated in disaster relief work in Houston, Richmond and Karnack, Texas providing comfort to thousands of affected families.

At this time, The Salvation Army Texarkana Corps is providing Emergency Disaster Training to anyone who may be interested in volunteering to help during disaster situations both locally and statewide. Volunteers are needed in disaster situations to help prepare meals for survivors, set up emergency cots and beds in our shelter and to provide personal hygiene kits and spiritual comfort for those who have been affected.
