What’s Happening in T-Town — Poodle Patch Dog Adoption Event at Petsmart

Poodle Patch Rescue Inc. 501 (c) 3 non profit hosts Meet & Greet Saturday April 5th 2014 at PetSmart in Texarkana from 11-3 pm

Come meet adoptable pets from The Poodle Patch Rescue Inc. 501(c) 3 nonprofit, volunteer animal welfare organization in Texarkana. We have saved over 2,200 lives in this area and request the Gazette’s help getting the word out about this event.

WHEN-This Saturday, April 5th from 11-3 pm

WHERE-PetSmart 117 Richmond Ranch Rd Texarkana, Texas

WE WILL HAVE STANDARD, MINIATURE, AND TOY POODLES-All of our pets are in private foster homes; so they are socialized and evaluated. Some are from the shelter, some were rescued before going to the shelter, some are owner surrenders and some are unclaimed strays.

Our rescues are housetrained and all have been vetted. (spayed or neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested and on heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, and micro chipped.) If needed, many have had other vetting such as dental cleanings or treatment for mange, ear infections, broken bones…… We'll have all size Poodles and Poodle mixes.

We have saved and adopted over 2,200 animals in the five years we have helped Texarkana’s homeless pet population. This was done without grants, city funds, big fundraisers or donations. We have saved the citizens of Texarkana nearly $45,00 by taking animals into our program with no fee, rather than have them go to the shelter where a fee($90) is charged back to Texarkana, TX. Please support our efforts by publishing this so that more people may consider adopting with us and we can in turn rescue more homeless animals.

We always need volunteers to foster, transport pets to and from vet appt’s, computer help, PetSmart meet & greet help, dog walkers, grooming help. If you want to help but just can’t foster, there is something you can do. We are a 501 (c) 3 non profit and donations are tax deductible.
